According to the great John Maxwell, the number one is too small of a number to create greatness. As I think about that, and as I plan for 2016, it becomes clear that one really is too small of a number to achieve my dreams for the new year. If you’re struggling with your process and with your surroundings, I have three ways that you could achieve your desired results by simply growing the number one to two or more!
- Find an accountability partner. This person is there to hold you accountable to what you say you want to do. Understand that they aren’t there to add value or help grow you; they are there simply to ensure that you do what you say you will. If you have total clarity of what you want to do, you need to find an accountability partner to help you accomplish those goals.
- Join a mastermind group. Mastermind groups are organized to bring like-minded people together to help one another with perspective. Everyone wants to grow, but sometimes it takes talking to someone who is doing things completely differently in order to find out how you can get to the next level.
- Hire a coach. Hiring a coach adds a team member to your team and gives you a different perspective. They are going to give you ideas and will develop a deep, meaningful relationship with you to help you accomplish your goals. There is a process to coaching that will transform you and move you on to your desired results!
You can’t accomplish all of your dreams and goals alone, so it’s crucial you add more people to help you reach your goals for 2016!
